Preconfigured Raman Systems with Enhanced Sensitivity

Lightwind configured Raman systems  are comprised of:
  •  785 nm Integrated Raman laser and probe.
  • Spectrometer
  • Sample Holder
  • Operating software
  • Third party software with specific Raman libraries are available

Why the Lightwind system is more sensitive:

Because these Raman systems incorporate an integrated Raman laser and probe the standard system will be 2  to 3x more sensitive  (withought SERS).  The laser probe is complimentary to SERS so it can actually increase the sensitivity of SERS. The figure below explains how the Raman signal can be increased without increasing either the sample acquisition time or the laser power.

Raman with a Ventana Spectrometer

Each of the Lightwind systems incorporates the same base structure comprised of the components shown above with changes being in the spectrometer  type and sensitivity.
The Ventana 785 is optimized for Raman
measurements with 785 nm laser excitation. Ventana’s  design provides exceptional throughput, enabling low excitation power to minimize sample degradation and short integration times to make fast measurements. A back-thinned, cooled silicon detector array and low noise electronics provide great quantum efficiency and low dark noise.

Raman with a Maya LSL

An upgrade to the Maya LSL increases the both the  Sensitivity and Signal to Noise of  the sample measurements.

Raman with a QE Pro

The QE PRo is an upgrade from the Maya, offering the best sensitivity and signal to noise. The QE comes with thermal control (to increase the signal to noise) and therefore the sensitivity  The QE Pro-Raman is a preconfigured for 785 nm Raman excitation, using a 900 lines/mm grating and a 50 µm slit.
