The FVA-UV fiber optic variable attenuator is an opto-mechanical device that helps control the amount of light (signal) transmitted between two fibers. The FVA-UV couples to the fibers via SMA 905 connectors, with manual adjustment for attenuating light uniformly at all wavelengths from the UV-Vis through Shortwave NIR. Also available are adapters for connecting the attenuator to most of the light sources having a collimating lens at its aperture. The FVA-ADP-UV and FVA-ADP-VIS work with light sources that have a collimating lens (74 series), such as the LS-1 (legacy product) and HL-2000 Family. Please note that the FVA-ADP-UV and FVA-ADP-VIS are not compatible with the DH-2000 Family and DT-MINI-2GS light sources.
  • Attenuation control – attenuates UV-Vis-NIR wavelengths uniformly
  • Direct-attach options – adapters available for connecting to light sources
  • Manual adjustment – mechanical wheel for attenuating light
