Spectrometer Choices

USB4000-VIS-NIR is preconfigured for applications from 350-1000 nm. It features a 3648-element Toshiba linear CCD array for increased signal-to-noise and enhanced electronics for controlling the spectrometer and accessories. The USB4000-VIS-NIR Spectrometer is preconfigured  cover the 350-1000 nm wavelength range. The spectrometer comes with a multi-bandpass order-sorting filter and a 25 µm entrance slit for optical resolution to ~1.5 nm (FWHM).

T O R U S   The Torus Miniature Spectrometer from Ocean Optics is a Visible range (360-825 nm) unit that delivers low stray light and is ideal for measuring color. Its increased sensitivity and throughput also make is perfect for low light level applications. Torus is the perfect solution for a wide range of applications where low stray light, high throughput and thermal stability are necessary:

M a y a  P r o  The flagship Maya 2000 Pro offers high quantum efficiency and high dynamic range and is responsive in the deep UV (~185-300 nm). This back-thinned 2D FFT-CCD spectrometer uses the Hamamatsu S10420 detector and is perfect for applications that require higher quantum efficiency over a broader spectral range.

QE65000 This scientific-grade Spectrometer is a novel combination of detector, optical bench and electronics technologies that provides users with a remarkably sensitive system for demanding low-light level applications such as fluorescence, DNA sequencing, astronomy and Raman spectroscopy.  The QE65000 can achieve up to 90% quantum efficiency with high signal-to-noise and rapid signal processing speed.

The FOIS-1 Fiber Optic Integrating Sphere accepts light energy through a 9.5-mm input port and funnels it to an optical fiber for emission experiments -- such as measuring the spectral properties of LEDs and other light sources. The FOIS-1 consists of a 1.5" Spectralon sphere encased in an aluminum housing, with a 9.5-mm input port that accepts light energy from 200-2500 nm and a SMA connector for coupling to the spectrometer.

L a b s p h e r e    The inside of the sphere is coated with Spectraflect®, a diffuse white reflectance coating specially formulated for light measurement spheres. An electrical feed-through to connect the lamp to a power supply terminates at the lamp socket mounting plate in the sphere. This design with accessible ports and framing accommodates light sources that are usually considered difficult to measure. The integrating sphere design conforms to recommendations of CIE Publication 84 and CIE 127, providing an easy-to-operate, highly accurate measurement component.
