Sensors for Growing Things

Text Box: Spectroscopy is a powerful tool which can be used in the analysis of food content. It can be used in a transmissive mode where light shines through the material or in a reflectance mode where a light is reflected from product. The change in the pattern of the reflected light gives valuable information about the content of the product being measured. Our products primarily rely on reflectance spectroscopy. Benefits of our approach are shown. A table of typical food parameters that can be measured is shown below.
Lightwind offers a range of products which include manually operated and table top models that are well suited for the academic or small lab environment. Products designed for large scale grain or food processing operations can include remote sampling or automated control.
